How do I analyze Trends and monitor Activity Graphs?


Pramati Server stores information about various activities performed on the Server. This provides valuable information about the overall health of the Server and it’s performance.

How do I analyze Trends?

Pramati Server keeps track of Trends from time to time and can be viewed in the form of graphs. This helps in analyzing the performance of the Server and the applications that run on it. To view trends on the Console, click Analyze > Trends. Details about the following are available:

Table 1: Aplications supported

ExtensionsDescription
Web ServerThis section stores information about the Web Server activity in the last 10 days. Information about the number of hits, the number of sessions created, and the errors occurred is maintained.
EJB ServerThis section stores information about the beans accessed across the Server.
Message ServerThis section stores information about the number of connections maintained by the Message Server across a period of 10 days.
SecurityThis section stores information about the number of user logins that have happened during the last 10 days.
ServerThis graph gives information about the amount of memory consumed (in MB), the JVM CPU usage, and the OS CPU and Memory usage.

Selecting the graphs icon for, say Web Server > Hits, displays the related graph.

How do I monitor Activity Graphs?

Pramati Server provides you a tool for keeping track of the Server activities over a period of time. Selecting Monitor > Activity Graph gives us a graphical view of the Server.

The above area provides a view of most of the sections that you can analyze using Analyze > Trends.

TrafficThe traffic graphs provides information about the traffic on the Server, that is, the number of hits.
ErrorsThe errors graph provides information about the errors occurred and their frequency on the Server.
SessionsThis sessions graph displays the total active sessions over a period of time.
