How do I monitor Alerts?

To monitor Alerts using the Console, select Monitor > Alerts. This displays the Alert Types page. The following details are provided:

FieldsDescription
StatusThis displays the status of an alert as either active or if some action has been taken on it. A red bell indicates an active alert.
NameName of the alert to be configured. Alert names must be unique.
TimeThe time when the alert was raised.
ReportClicking the Report icon displays details about the alert such as it’s ID, the date and time it was raised, and the message.

Clicking Refresh refreshes the current page.

How do I view Alert Reports?

To view details about an alert such as its ID, the date and time it was raised, and the message, click Report against the alert name. The screen displays the following details:

Alert IdThis displays the ID of the selected alert.
DateThis displays the date when the alert was raised.
TimeThis displays the time when the alert was raised.
MessageThis displays the message of the alert that was raised.

To delete an alert, select the check box corresponding to the alert you want to delete and click Delete.
