How do I Customize Pramati Management Console?
The Console displays information about a Server instance and the deployed applications through a set of JSPs called Views. A view refers to the selected screen and all its control objects, and is stored in a catalog.
The Console provides the following three views by default:
- Default
- Deployer
- Administrator
You can add, delete, or configure views according to your requirements. In other words, you have the control over what you want to use and to be displayed on the Console.
How do I Configure the Console?
To see details about the different views, select Configure > Console in the Explore panel of the Console.
Selecting:
- DEFAULT opens the Console in a new page with all the features provided.
- Deployer opens the Console in a new page with all the features selected for a deployer.
- Administrator opens the Console in a new page with all the features selected for an administrator.
How do I Create Views?
In the new page, click Add. This displays the Add a View screen, where you need to enter the following details:

Save the view.
How do I Modify Views?
A view can be configured for displaying selected Links, Alerts, and Documents. To modify an existing view, select Settings provided against the view. For example, to edit MyView properties, click Settings against it. Here, you can select, add, and delete Links, Alerts, and Documents to be displayed for the selected view.
For example, you may choose to see statistics, logs, alerts, and other information specific to the application on the home page, and decide against selecting analyze tools.
What are Links?
These refer to the Servers and Applications running on Pramati Server that are listed in the Explore panel. For example, Web Server, EJB Server, Message Server, the various applications, etc. Clicking a link name displays the actual page as it appears on the screen.
Clicking Settings for a link displays the complete JSP structure for the same as tables. You can modify the table headings and labels to suit your particular needs, and also select the tables that you want to be displayed.
Select what you do not want to be displayed on the screen and click Save. Your view will display only the selected view.
What are Alerts?
This displays a list of all the alerts available. Using this list, you can decide the alerts you do not want to use for your view. To remove the unwanted alerts, select the alerts not required, and click Delete. To add a few of the deleted alerts at some later stage, click Add. Select the alert to be added and click Save.
What are Documents?
This is a list of documents that provide information about using Pramati Server and its various components. Using this list, you can decide the documents you do not want to use. To remove the unwanted documents, select them and click Delete. To add a few of the deleted documents at a later stage, click Add. Select the documents to be added and click Save.
How do I Delete Views?
To delete a view, select Configure > Console in the Explore panel. Select the view to be deleted using the check box, and click Delete.
How do I use Catalog of Pramati Server Console?
Catalog is a utility for viewing all the following components of the Console pages:
- Views
- View Objects
- Control Objects
- Alerts
- Documents
Select Utilities > Catalog provided in the Explore panel. This takes you to the Home page of the Catalog view.
How do I Browse Views?
The Views area listing the default view and any user defined views is displayed by default. You can add, delete, or configure views according to your requirements.
How do I Browse View Objects?
Selecting View Objects displays a list of various JSPs, HTMLs, Servlets etc. that are used on the Server, along with their description.
Clicking on a name link takes you to the respective page.
How do I Browse Control Objects?
Selecting Control Objects displays a list of the bean names, the context in which they are used, a brief description, and their API Reference. Clicking on an API Reference link displays the interface details of the selected bean. For example, selecting the API Reference link for J2EEApplicationMBean displays the required information.
How do I Browse Alerts?
Selecting Alerts displays the complete list of Alert names, the context in which they are used, and a brief description.

Selecting Documents displays the list of available documents for the Server along with a brief description for each.
Clicking a document, you can view its contents.
